My Background

I am a multiple-award-winning language specialist. I am a Japanese national based in London. I have over ten years of experience in translation, writing and teaching in Japan and the UK.  

In 2008, I moved into the UK where my career has developed as a  freelancer. I have worked with various industries all over the world.   

 

My career started at a primary school in Japan. I was a full-time teacher. My passion for education flew me to England to study a MA course at the University of York.

My clients include large companies, small and medium businesses, start-ups and prestigious schools, the Rochester Grammar School, Sekisui, NTT Docomo, Gakken, Cerezo Osaka Football Club, Japan Food Journal, Hennessey and others. 

In Japan, I started a PhD to expand my knowledge and experience. During that period, I had to juggle with my own research and multiple jobs: writing articles for an educational magazine, tutoring, and assisting the scholarly study of the National Institute for Educational Policy Research of Japan, Tsukuba University and Ochyanomizu University.

I am a certified teacher with postgraduate qualifications and hands-on experience in teaching to all levels and ages.

My teaching career spans over 20 years in Japan and the UK. I worked as a full-time teacher at schools and helped academic research at National Educational Research Institutions.
